7 tips to get your next interview at a Digital Agency

1 Write your cover letter from scratch, make sure you use words like YOU, YOUR, instead of I and My. Proofread it, so there are not mistakes.

2 Have a really simple resume, one page only. People at digital agency are busy people, so get to the point and save them the time. You don’t need to tell them everything about you.

3 Be specific with your examples. (We should all know this one by now).

4 Get a linkedIn Profile, and have your work history, experience, education, interest and a photo on there.

5 Have an opinion. Start an blog using WordPress, run a few Adwords campaigns with the free vouchers you got from your host. Blog about the lastest news and your opinion in the digital world, and get it linked to LinkedIn.

6 Be part of the social media world, you need to practice what you preach.

7 Be original. Before the interview, follow the agency’s blog, its staffs’ twitter pages, and digg out the latest news on your next employer. It’s not just about looking at their website.
